Amsterdam Airport massage questions from first-time visitors
These arrive from people who landed recently and are still working out where they are. Each is answered as it would be in the booking thread, with the figure, the time and the rule that applies.
What is the difference between Amsterdam Airport and Schiphol?
There is none. Amsterdam Airport Schiphol is the full name, and locals call it simply Schiphol. The hotels around it sit at Schiphol, Schiphol-Rijk and Schiphol-Oost, and all three are covered by arrangement.
How far is the airport from central Amsterdam?
The train from the station under the arrivals hall reaches Amsterdam Centraal in roughly a quarter of an hour. For a booking the distance works the other way: a central room is reached in forty to sixty minutes from a confirmed booking, and an airport hotel is arranged separately, with her journey agreed with you before anything is fixed.
Should I stay at an airport hotel or in the city?
That depends on your trip, not on a booking here. Either kind of room pays exactly the same figures. An airport hotel suits a short stay or an early flight; a city hotel puts you among the canals. A booking at an airport hotel always carries a deposit of half the fee.
I have never been to Amsterdam. Is there anything I should know before writing?
Only that everything is done in writing and nothing is fixed until you have accepted the reply. Give the address, the hour in local time, the length and a name or a description of what would suit you. The reply does the rest.
Why is half asked for in advance the first time I book?
Every first booking with the house is confirmed with half the fee in advance, wherever it is and however long. It protects the therapist's journey and time. On later visits, a same-day hour or two at a city address is paid entirely on arrival.
How do I pay if I have not changed any money yet?
Half is paid ahead through card, Revolut, Wise or crypto, whichever suits you. The rest is paid at the door by card, crypto or cash in any major currency, with the amount in that currency confirmed in writing before she arrives. Euros are not required.
Do prices change at the airport, at night or at weekends?
No. Each length costs what her profile says, whatever the hour, the day or the address, and every one of those prices includes taxes.
What time zone should I use when I book?
Amsterdam time, which is Central European Time, one hour ahead of the United Kingdom and six ahead of the American east coast for most of the year. If your phone may not have updated, give the hour in both zones.
Can I write before my flight lands?
Yes. Give the expected landing time and the hotel if you know it, and say you will confirm the room once you have checked in. A provisional hour can be held against it, but nothing is fixed until you accept the reply.
My hotel is outside the airport but not in the centre. Is it covered?
Send the address and the reply will tell you. The city centre and the three airport districts, Schiphol, Schiphol-Rijk and Schiphol-Oost, are inside the arrangement; the towns around them are not.
Apart from English, which languages can the booking be made in?
English, all twenty-three of them. French, Russian and Spanish appear on three profiles each, Dutch, Romanian, Italian and Greek on two each, and Latvian, Ukrainian, Portuguese and Hungarian on one each.
Does the hotel need to know?
The house does not contact hotels. Some hotels ask visitors to be met in the lobby after a certain hour; if yours does, mention it in the thread so the arrival can be planned around it.
How can I be sure the woman who knocks is the woman I chose?
Her photographs on the roster are of her and are published with her agreement. The confirmation in the thread names her, and she will introduce herself by that name.
What if my plans change after the deposit is paid?
It depends on the notice. More than twenty-four hours ahead, the deposit comes back in full. Inside the last twenty-four hours while she is still at home, half is kept. Once she has set out, all of it is kept. Moving the booking once, to a date within the next fourteen days, costs nothing if you ask with more than twenty-four hours in hand.
We are travelling as a couple. Can one booking cover both of us?
Yes. One therapist between two guests is charged at two solo hours per hour, and a therapist each at four. Both guests must be twenty-one or over, and both must have agreed to the booking.
Is tipping expected in Amsterdam?
No. The quoted figure is the whole cost and includes all taxes. Nothing else is expected.
I booked two hours for the evening I land, but my flight is now arriving much later. What happens to the deposit?
Say it was two hours for one guest: half that two hour fee went ahead. A delayed flight is on your side of the line rather than force majeure, so it is handled as a move or a cancellation. Write as soon as you know: with more than twenty-four hours to go you can move the date once for free, within fourteen days, and what you paid is simply re-attached to the later hour. Inside the last twenty-four hours, before she has set out, half is kept and half is returned or carried to the new time. Once she is on her way the deposit is kept, unless someone else takes the hour, in which case it comes back in full.
This is my first time in Amsterdam and I only want one hour tonight. Is a deposit really needed?
Yes, and only because it is your first booking with the house, which carries a deposit whatever the length and however soon it starts. Half the one hour fee is asked for once the hour is agreed in the thread, by card or, if you would rather, by Revolut, Wise or crypto. As the session is on the same day, you also confirm in the thread that you want it performed straight away. The remaining half is paid at the door. On a later visit, a same-day hour or two at a city address is paid entirely on arrival.
I was so tired after the flight that I stopped after an hour of a two hour session. Do I get anything back?
No. A session that ends early, for whatever reason and whichever side ends it, stays payable for the full time reserved. Those two hours were kept free for you, she made the journey to your room, and the hour left over cannot be given to anyone else at that point. Beyond the fee for the reserved time there is nothing more to pay. If you already feel the tiredness before she sets out, say so in the thread and the booking becomes a single hour, charged at the one hour line of her rates.
This is my first trip to Amsterdam, so who settles what the session includes?
The therapist decides, on a first booking exactly as on any other. When she arrives she explains where her limits are, in her own words, and they stay where she put them until she walks out of the door. She is free to refuse a booking at any stage, before it is confirmed or afterwards, without giving a reason, and free to bring a visit to a close whenever she wants. A guest who presses on a limit she has named ends the visit there and then: the reserved time is still owed and nothing is added to it, as the terms put it more formally.
I have only my passport with me. Will she ask to see identification?
She might. The guest who booked and every other person in the room must be twenty-one or over, so she can ask for a photo document when she comes in, and a passport serves perfectly well. She reads the date of birth and hands the document back straight away. Nothing is copied, photographed or scanned, and none of its details are written down. If she cannot be sure about everyone present, she leaves before any session begins, which the age statement explains in full.
